Recently, KraussMaffei High-end Plastic Molding Machinery Technology Institute won the title of the provincial key enterprise-wide research institute as Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Department announced the 2023 list of newly recognized R&D institutes for enterprises. This is another provincial award for KraussMaffei’s R&D department since it has been accredited as a municipal technology center (2017), a municipal high-tech research and development center (2018) and a provincial R&D center (2021), marking that the company’s R&D strength and industrialization capability have been recognized by industry authorities.
KraussMaffei China has focused a lot on new approaches to products, technologies and management by employing a model of integrating technological introduction with indigenous innovation. It has developed machinery for plastic injection molding & extrusion and reaction foaming, rubber machinery & equipment, and automation devices and ancillary equipment. They have been widely applied in plastic pipe, profile, plate, tire, automobile interior and other industries. To date, KraussMaffei China holds three invention patents, 46 utility model patents and three software copyrights, with the core technologies of its main products featuring indigenous intellectual property rights. Over the past three years, 17 technological achievements of various types have been commercialized, of which 16 are patented core technologies.
