On September 8, technical experts from KraussMaffei and their Chinese counterparts held special symposium on an Uzbekistan project at Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery to study the optimal design of production scenarios and process in order to ensure the production schedule and quality of bid-winning products. Not long ago, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery won the bidding of internal mixer and steel cord conveyor belt curing press used in the Uzbekistan project as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. The main technical contractor of the Uzbekistan project is Beijing Research and Design Institute of Rubber Industry (BRDIRI). The project is the best practice in implementing the “advanced manufacturing” set out in the 13th Five-Year Plan of ChemChina, marking the good beginning of ChemChina’s manufacturing enterprises expanding the international market of advanced rubber technologies and equipment.
The bid-winning products are GK-400N and GK-190E internal mixers and large steel cord conveyor belt curing press line (2.2m×10.6m), with the total value of nearly RMB 30 million. Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery developed GK-400N and GK-190E internal mixers by constantly innovating European advanced technologies it had brought in. Yixiangji internal mixers represented by the two aforementioned models have been sold all over the world, a success story of China's rubber machinery entering the EU market by introducing European technologies. Large curing press line, one of the bid-winning products, is independently innovated and developed by Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery. Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery has aimed at new development of curing press at home and abroad by striving for super-large curing press with a length of over 16m and a width of more than 2m. In terms of curing press, it has always maintained nearly 70% of China's market share, with the products exported to Japan, Brazil and South Africa as well as the countries and regions in Southeast Asia.
