In a recent review of advanced technology and outstanding equipment upgrading projects conducted in Guangxi Equipment Industry in 2014, all the 11 projects submitted by Guilin Rubber Machinery were on the list of prize winners, including three for first prize, three for second prize, and five for third prize.
The Research, Development and Application of Networked PLC Control System for Tyre Curing Press, and Studies on Technology of Extra-long Set Processing won the first prize for advanced technology, and the Independent Research and Development of Gas-shielded Welding Machine for Steam Platen of Tyre Curing Press won the first prize for outstanding equipment upgrading.
The Research, Development and Application of Networked PLC Control System for Tyre Curing Press is the first advanced technology that the plant has ever applied in this regard, and now the system has been installed and used on its customers’ facilities. Through half a year’s trial operation and real-time monitoring and pre-warning in the Central Control Room, it can feed back information of the abnormal equipment immediately in a few seconds, and this helps lower the breakdown rate of curing press from the previous 8% to below 5%, winning good market response.
The Independent Research and Development of Gas-shielded Welding Machine for Steam Platen of Tyre Curing Press, winner of the first prize for outstanding equipment upgrading, improves the production efficiency of the steam platen, and lowers the cost by more than RMB200,000. At the same time, it greatly reduces the labor intensity, and improves product quality. It is another project which brings remarkable benefits from equipment upgrading after the Upgrading of Q7620HC Aerator, winner of the first prize for outstanding equipment upgrading in 2013.
