In Sinochem Holdings’ 2022 review of senior experts in technological R&D, 30 people were recruited among the second group of senior experts (T5 level) after the approval of the leading Party group. The selection aimed to build a pool of leading technological talents underpinning the reform and transition based on the philosophy of “In science we trust”.
This year, senior experts, playing a vital role in Sinochem Holdings’ research, have passed strict selection procedures such as external expert review, professional review by the company’s science & technology committee, and comprehensive examination. This is Sinochem Holdings’ first T5-level review since its establishment. It has set an evaluation orientation centered on the contribution to the company’s technological progress and industrial development, marking a milestone in fostering Sinochem Holdings’ talents.
Zhao Xu and Li Jinke, CNCE’s two experts, are on the list.

Zhao Xu:
Zhao Xu has long engaged in developing and applying chemical engineering and equipment technologies. Zhao is responsible for developing processes and equipment technologies like “coal wetting technology by steam tube rotary drying method”, with a cumulative output value of RMB4 billion. The “heat-pump flash steam technology for the ammonia-nitrogen wastewater” has solved the chronic problem of not meeting the standard for treating ammonia nitrogen wastewater in the oil refining and catalyst industry.
Research insight: The harvest is proportional to the efforts. Only efforts are rewarding.
Li Jinke:
Li Jinke has long worked on studying and developing key equipment for ethylene cracking plants. Li has developed a series of newly structured emergency cooling heat exchangers and low-NOx burners with world-leading technologies. As such, the company has grown from a follower to a side-by-side runner and then pacesetter in ethylene technology.
Research insight: meticulous research and design is a must-have path to success.
