By the end of June, the China BlueStar Lehigh Engineering Corp. had applied for 16 patents -- 14 for inventions, two of them utility models -- thereby completing its annual task ahead of schedule.
This company increased its spending on scientific research in just under two years and saw tremendous improvement in its science and technology innovation. In addition to increasing research expenditures, it improved intellectual property management and incentives and encouragement to get personnel to apply for patents.
It also asked an intellectual property consultant to draw up a patent strategy and do a core competitiveness analysis for greater technological progress.
