The National Engineering Technology Research Center's acceptance committee did an on-site inspection and assessment recently of the Tianhua Institute's National Drying Technology and Equipment Engineering Research Center and the center passed with flying colors.
The National Drying Technology and Equipment Engineering Research Center, a branch of the Tianhua Institute, was set up in 2007 with Ministry of Science and Technology approval and has been involved in 24 key scientific projects at the national and provincial level, and 34 other key projects. It has 15 technical accomplishments at the provincial level and has won three Science and Technology Progress awards. It has also applied for 45 patents, 28 of which have been approved, and has helped establish five industry standards. Its strengths lie in certain techniques with polypropylene drying, catalyst drying, large PTA drying, large coal moisture-control drying, copper concentrate drying, lignite purifying, and city-sludge and waste-water drying. It has also developed over 30 drying devices, more than any other Chinese company, and its annual output value ranks first in China, in the industry.
Throughout its three years of operation, the center has made progress in developing and industrializing drying techniques and equipment engineering, as well as in building production bases, training, communication, opening-up, combining drying industry technical forces, promoting domestic and overseas cooperation, and problem-solving in drying technology and equipment and has expanded its function as a national engineering technology center.
