The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a list of the first group of national industrial products quality control and technology assessment labs. The chemical equipment quality monitoring and inspection center affiliated with the Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery and Automation joins the list.
The center is the first professional unit established in the nation that specializes in chemical and petroleum chemical equipment manufacturing and quality inspection. It possesses the CMA certificate, the boiler pressure vessel, pressure pipe and special equipment inspection permit issued by the Administration of Quality Supervision，Inspection and Quarantine, the petroleum and the chemical industry product quality supervision and inspection center permit issued by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association. It also has received approval from national labs and A-type inspection agencies authorized by the China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories. The center is responsible for the supervision of manufacturing processes of the large-scale chemical devices, project supervision and management, as well as conducting regular inspections of pressure vessels and pressure pipes in service. The center carries out quality supervision and inspections on several thousand large-scale machines that produce ethylene, synthetic ammonia, urea, sulfuric acid, phosphorus amine, soda ash, refinery and polyester, both in manufacturing and in service. The approval will improve capacity, business competence, service levels and its product qualities.
