Hebei Xinji Chemical was invited by the Tianjin Chemical Research and Design Institute on Sept 16 to help formulate national standards in waste hydrogen sulfide treatment and industrial standards on strontium hydroxide octahydrate and high-purity strontium nitrate. The move will help Xinji improve technical index and test methods for products and industrial publicity.

It's important to realize comprehensive cyclic utilization of hydrogen sulfide, as required by national safety and environment protection development. Xinji has made full use of its technical advantages and changed the production process to turn hydrogen sulfide into sodium sulfide, thiourea and sulfur. The formulated standards were the first of their kind in China and will effectively eliminate companies that avoid competition or fail to meet relevant standards. They will raise competition threshold and upgrade the whole high-purity inorganic salt industry.

Xinji Chemical has given priority to quality and reputation in company development. It's now one of the major drafters for national standards on barium carbonate, strontium carbonate, barium sulfate and sodium sulfide, and has been involved in drafting a dozen industrial standards. Its technology and product quality is in the forefront of the industry. The company was named a national barium salt facility in 1994.
