The Xi’an Lishan Automobile Factory has announced the development of two environmentally friendly vehicles that meet national V-emissions standards, in response to the government call for improved vehicle emission standards. Xi’an Lishan increased R&D spending on low-emission vehicles and put more than 1 million yuan into developing the two new models, which cut emissions by 50 percent.
The company has already registered the two cars with the Industry and Information Technology Ministry and the factory is testing them and expects to have them rolling off the production line, in June.
Xi’an Lishan says it will continue spending on V-emission vehicles and will upgrade many old models until they reach V-emission standards.
