Water is the resource that the mankind depends on for living and the lifeblood for the development of industrial companies. It is not only a win-win approach to achieve deep processing of polluted waters, promote water resource conservation and reutilization and realize sustainable development of the mankind, but also a challenge that the chemical industry must respond actively to.
On March 30, the Seminar on Water Treatment Technologies of Large-scale Chemical Companies in Western China was held at Bluestar Machinery. Main leaders, environmental protection experts as well as water treatment experts and scholars from 13 units in Beijing, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Chongqing and Sichuan gathered together to make discussions on the promotion and application of industrial water treatment technologies.

Currently, the central government attaches great importance to environmental protection and safety and has put forward new and higher requirements on industrial water treatment of large-scale chemical companies. The seminar focuses on the three themes of technologies for anti-scaling treatment of industrial circulating water, urban landfill leachate treatment as well as prevention from and control of water eutrophication. The participating company leaders, experts and scholars made extensive communications and discussions about the main performance and principle of water treatment products including cooling tower as well as social and economic benefits of the products.
Not long ago, Bluestar Machinery and Bluestar Beijing Chemical Machinery jointly established Chengdu Engineering Center, which will make a series of practices in the new fields of industrial water treatment and ionic membrane on the principle of “technological convergence and resource sharing”. The meeting is a useful attempt and exploration in the field of water treatment after the center has been founded.
