Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery ranked seventh worldwide in sales in the first half of the year, thanks to its continued effort in sustainable development, according to the European Rubber Journal, which recently published its Global Top 30 list of rubber machinery manufacturers. The rankings are compiled by Crain Communications Inc. Yiyang has helped increase industry competitiveness and has provided a solid foundation for becoming a global supplier in the future.
The company is a major domestic rubber machinery manufacturer, with its internal mixer, tire vulcanizer, press vulcanizer, and twin-screw extruder doing very well both in China and abroad. It ranked fifth in 2010 and seventh in 2011 in sales and started a 100-day sales competition in the first four months of this year and adopted an active marketing strategy, which added more than 500 million yuan in orders, brining the total to 1 billion yuan. It then arranged a skills competition at the end of May to help employees be more professional and improve product quality to make sure all orders go out on time.
