(Näfels, March 17, 2017) Netstal is one of the few injection molding machine manufacturers to have specifically offered used machines for a number of years. Used and overhauled premium technology is particularly in demand within emerging markets. Netstal will be co-exhibiting with KraussMaffei at ReTEC in Augsburg (April 25–27, Hall 5, Stand B20).

The ReTEC trade fair being held from April 25 to 27 in Augsburg is the ultimate meeting place for the used technology trade. Over three days, exhibitors will be showcasing used machines and systems from every branch of industry in three halls and on the outdoor grounds at Messe Augsburg. Within the scope of used machine business, Netstal offers the sale, lease, overhaul and purchase of used injection molding technology. Netstal-Maschinen AG will be co-exhibiting with KraussMaffei at ReTEC from April 25 to 27, 2017 (Hall 5, Stand B20).
Leading used machine technology from Netstal
The acquisition of an injection molding machine is an investment that needs to be thoroughly considered. But it doesn't always have to be a new system: Netstal-Maschinen AG is one of only a few manufacturers to offer a broad selection of used injection molding machines at any one time. "Netstal machines are extremely robust and operate very reliably for many years. Inevitably, they are consequently in high demand," declared Fritz Beglinger, sales manager for used machines at Netstal. The main target groups for used machines are notably within the emerging markets. "From a geographic perspective, we are particularly successful in Latin America, but also in Africa and the Middle East," said Beglinger. The benefits of used technology are clear: although value retention is premium at Netstal, a used machine not only involves significantly lower investment costs, but also much shorter waiting times to reach the production stage. Used machines in the injection mold sector are primarily employed for PET applications, closures and packaging parts or in the medical technology sector.
Complete overhauls with 6-month warranty
To comprehensively satisfy individual customer needs, Netstal offers its machines in various stages of refurbishment. For example, customers can acquire a used machine that has not been inspected on a "purchased as is" basis. Within the scope of a partial overhaul, the machine is partially refurbished and all the functions are tested. A complete overhaul also includes the exchange of wearing parts. Mechanical parts are also refurbished or completely replaced. The customer receives a six-month warranty after a complete overhaul. Additional options include total repainting or a new hose set. "Depending on the extent of the refurbishment, the price difference between a machine that is about 10 years old and a new machine is generally between 20 and 40 percent," said Fritz Beglinger
The exceptional precision and reliability of an overhauled Netstal machine enables consistent quality production at the lowest possible cost per unit. Outstanding efficiency in terms of the system as a whole means the manufacturing break-even point is quickly achievable. Similar to users of new machines, customers who acquire used machines also benefit from the comprehensive service network operated by Netstal worldwide.
