Sichuan Danchi Automobile Parts Co., Ltd has been strongly pushing ahead intelligent manufacturing of gear transmission parts to lower the cost, improve the quality and increase the market share of key products. In March 2017, the orders for its cylindrical gear products have increased by nearly 100% from the same period last year.
To meet market demands for high-precision transmission parts, and adapt to the fast technological upgrade and frequent change to models ordered, Sichuan Danchi has actively leveraged the advantages of intelligent manufacturing, such as sound process reliability, high processing precision, flexible, convenient and efficient techniques, and vigorously promoted intelligent and flexible manufacturing in product turning and blank making, hobbing & shaving, and high-precision surface grinding.
So far the four robot machines newly introduced into the cylindrical gear workshop have been put into trial operation. Thanks to the automatic loading and unloading operation of the manipulator, the gear making section will realize multi-station unit unmanned manufacturing, which will improve the productivity by more than 100%; the turning & blank making section will realize integrated bulk production for coarse and fine vehicles, improving the blank making efficiency and product quality, reducing the consumption of fine-quality steel by over 500 tons and saving more than RMB two million.
Many OEMs from at home and abroad have shown great interest in intelligent manufacturing after their visit to Sichuan Danchi, upgraded the level of their procurement orders for its gear transmission parts, and expanded their R&D cooperation and procurement orders with the company.
