On March 5, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery announced that a tire company had signed to place an order for seven large-sized mixers in Shandong, the biggest mixer order it has received in the past three years. Most of the mixers on the order are tandem internal mixers - a one-step rubber mixing equipment developed by the company in recent years. This is another good news brought by the company's innovation-driven growth strategy.
In recent years, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery has been trying to strengthen its competitiveness through technological innovation. It has followed closely the latest industry trend and customer demands, and actively developed new products to meet such demands while optimizing its old products. The tandem internal mixer is another fruit of its independent research. Formed by two mixers, GE320E and GE590T, it's so far the most advanced low-temperature rubber mixer in China and even in the whole world. It breaks away from the old method of rubber mixing that has been practiced in China for decades and is a revolutionary product in the rubber mixing industry. Compared with the old rubber mixing methods, the tandem rubber mixer can improve the productivity by more than 50% and save electricity by more than 60%. It can also greatly enhance the dispersion and evenness of rubber and hence lengthen the service life of tires. What’s more, compared with original rubber-mixing production lines, the use of tandem rubber mixers can reduce the number of mixers needed and thus cut the investment in plants and equipment by about 30%.
The product has caught the eyes of tire companies at home and abroad since its launch. Many of them have introduced this new production line of rubber mixing to produce green, eco-friendly tires. Following the success in the tire making market, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery now turns its eyes to non-tire markets, such as friction materials, new cable materials, insulation materials, medical rubber, and auto parts processing, to market small- and medium-sized tandem rubber mixers and provide total solutions with many “first” technologies. So far such a solution has been successfully applied to the new rubber mixing production line of Guihang Hongyang Seals.
