On May 8, 2018, Tianhua Institute held a cornerstone laying ceremony to officially launch the phase-II project at the research and production base of its Nanjing-based company.
The project covers an area of 80mu, with a total investment of RMB497 million. The project will build intelligent, digital production workshops and intelligent manufacturing system with new technologies, new processes and advanced equipment, and promote the transformation of production models through information technology, in order to further expand the production site, improve the production processes, enhance the manufacturing capacity catering for the market development needs, and ease the environmental pressure from phase-I.
The implementation of this project is an important part of Tianhua Institute's sustainable development strategy in the "13th Five-Year” plan and is of great significance for driving the development of advanced manufacturing industry in Jiangning District, Nanjing City. Last year, the project was included in the 2017 key projects of Nanjing City and the Decision-making System for the Major Issues, Major Personnel Appointments and Dismissals, Investments in Major Projects and Use of Large Sums of Money in Jiangning District, Nanjing City.
At the cornerstone-laying ceremony, heads of project partners including the Administrative Committee of Binjiang Economic Development Zone and the First Design and Research Institute, MI China attended the ceremony and expressed their expectations for the project.
Xiao Shimeng, Chairman of Tianhua Institute, said that 10 years of construction and operation of the phase-I project of Nanjing Research and Production Base of Tianhua Institute have scored remarkable achievements and accumulated a wealth of experience in base construction, scientific research, production, qualification system construction, and market development. It is believed that the phase-II project will take Tianhua Institute to a new level in project management, market-oriented transformation and promotion of scientific research products, and international operating.
