With the approval by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin Rubber Machinery Co., Ltd (Guilin Rubber Machinery) recently established the Guangxi Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base, another gratifying achievement made by the company in scientific research platform construction and talent cultivation.
Guided by the concept of "science first" and taking the "state-approved enterprise technology center" as the platform, Guilin Rubber Machinery, on the one hand, actively optimizes the R&D personnel team, accelerates the building of independent R&D capabilities, and on the other hand, strengthens cooperation with major universities, combines production, education and research, and improves the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements, forming a small highland of innovative talents based on "independent innovation + integration of production, education and research", and creating a stable, lively and open ecological environment for scientific and technological innovation.
Market oriented, the company focuses on the R&D of core products such as complete sets of rubber machinery, and its scientific and technological innovation has achieved fruitful results. Among them, "Research on the Key Technologies of 5000mm (200 inch) Tire Curing Press" has been listed in the "International Science and Technology Cooperation Program of Ministry of Science and Technology", and "Development of 5400mm (210 inch) Tire Curing Press" has been included in the "Guangxi Science and Technology Research Program". The R&D achievements of these projects have been industrialized and have promoted the localization process of giant heavy-duty engineering tires. In recent years, three projects of the company have won the Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award, and four have been included in the Guangxi Science and Technology Research Program.
At present, Guilin Rubber Machinery has three experts who enjoy special allowance from the State Council, and a number of technical professionals who have the honorary titles of “Guangxi Outstanding Experts”, “Guilin Top Talents” and “Guilin Top Ten Innovative Talents”. Scientific research personnel account for 25% of the total workforce, including eight professor-level senior engineers, 43 senior engineers and 22 external experts. According to Lei Ji, deputy chief engineer of the company, in the future, the enterprise will strive for greater achievements in talent introduction and technological innovation, and explore innovative cooperation mechanisms with universities and research institutes to form a sound long-term mechanism for technological cooperation and talent introduction and overcome more technical problems.
