Recently, three commissioned projects co-undertaken by Tianhua Institute, a subsidiary of the CNCE, and its partners passed the evaluation of technological achievements.

Specifically, the Technology of Large Spray Drying and Mixing Equipment for FCC Catalyst has been applied in developing a new-type drying equipment featuring high temperature, large air volume and energy-saving spraying. The new equipment can reduce heat loss and exhaust emission by recovering and utilizing the heat of hot air and tail gas that is semi-open and semi-circulating. The Large-scale Design and Development Project of Gas-fired Roasting Furnace aims to improve the filling system and thermal efficiency. The Technology of Optimization and Comprehensive Energy Saving of Molecular Sieve Drying-Roasting System Engineering has been used to develop an external circulation and internal circulation technology for drying and roasting of molecular sieve, reducing energy consumption and the load of subsequent tail gas treatment system. The technology has played a key role in improving system stability. Now, the three technologies have been applied in the on-site customers’ devices that run steadily and meet their expectations.

In response to China’s strong promotion of the original ecological goal of environmental protection and energy conservation, the three technological projects of Tianhua Institute have not only created good economic benefits for customers through technological optimization and innovation, but also brought more social benefits to chemical enterprises, thanks to their outstanding efficiency in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection.

The customer-oriented Tianhua Institute lays more emphasis on research and innovation and unswervingly provides customized and all-round services to customers. It has been committed to serving as an overall solution supplier of technical equipment by integrating research and development, design, manufacturing and after-sales services. Over the years, Tianhua Institute has kept exploring and developing the innovation mechanism, the building of the innovation team, the accumulation and reserve of technology, and the output and benefits of technological innovation, achieving a host of extraordinary results.

At the commendation meeting of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Tianhua Institute won the honorary title of Technological Innovation Demonstration Enterprise in the 2019 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry. Also, Tianhua Institute participated in the research and development of Key Technologies for Welding Form Regulation for Intrinsic Safety of Major Pressure-bearing Equipment and won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award issued by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.

Founded in 1958, Tianhua Institute is one of the first-batch units engaged in chemical equipment research and the only professional non-standard chemical equipment research institution in China. It boasts 15 national professional committees, 3 national standards committees and 2 core journals, as well as two national innovation platforms, namely the National Research Center for Drying Technology and Equipment Engineering Technology and the National and Local Engineering Research Center for Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment in Chemical Process. With 421 patent authorizations, the institute participated in the formulation of 188 national and industrial standards, winning 40-odd national awards and 211 provincial and ministerial awards.

According to the head of Tianhua Institute, Tianhua Institute will continue to give full play to its technological innovation and technological advantages, with the vision of being an excellent national brand. It will also make greater contributions to the development of China’s chemical equipment manufacturing industry through innovation and industrial layout.
