Recently, the Nanjing Tianhua Phase II Project invested and constructed by Tianhua Institute successfully passed the completion acceptance of relevant departments and units, and was formally put into operation.
The Nanjing Tianhua Phase II Project started construction in May 2018, with a total investment of about RMB 350 million, mainly including the Second Production Plant (with a construction area of more than 20000 square meters), the office building, more than 160 sets of large-sized machine tools and inspection and test instruments, some factory roads and sewage treatment facilities. After being completed and put into production, the Project will help Tianhua Institute to further improve the processing and manufacturing level of large-sized environmental-protection chemical equipment, and promote and accelerate the achievement application of a large number of cutting-edge technologies with independent intellectual property rights in line with national industrial policies and environmental protection policies.

As a large-scale chemical equipment R&D and manufacturing enterprise with a history of more than 60 years, Tianhua Institute has, in recent years, continuously increased the research, development, popularization and application of energy-saving and environmental protection technologies and equipment while maintaining its original petrochemical equipment technology and the industry-leading position. Gradually, it has formed the energy-saving and environmental protection technologies and products represented by nuisanceless treatment technology and outfits for municipal sludge, coal gasification raw material pre-drying technology and outfits, coal moisture control and quality upgrading technology and outfits, extraction steam drying and water recovery technology and outfits for power plant lignite steam turbines, airflow tube coal drying technology and outfits, hot flue gas rotary cylinder coal drying technology and outfits, high ammonia-nitrogen wastewater treatment technology, waste heat recovery system for coal-based natural gas, waste heat recovery system for coke oven gas-based natural gas, multi-generation high-temperature ash-containing gas vertical waste heat recovery system, quench boiler and combustion system of ethylene cracking unit, high-performance fiber technology and outfits, polymer devolatilization technology and outfits, profile extrusion technology and equipment, etc. These technologies and equipment are in line with the energy conservation and environmental protection direction encouraged by the state, and the demand shows a rapid growth momentum.
In order to break through the limitations of Lanzhou headquarters and the Nanjing Tianhua Phase I project, which was put into operation in 2008, in terms of test, inspection, processing equipment, manufacturing site, etc., and further enhance the processing and manufacturing capacity of large-size environmental protection chemical equipment to meet the application needs of the industry and customers, Tianhua Institute invested and started the construction of the Nanjing Tianhua Phase II Project.
Since the commencement on May 21, 2018 after obtaining the construction permit, the project construction team has overcome the difficulties such as poor geological conditions, high engineering difficulty, a lot of unplanned shutdowns, and COVID-19 to guarantee safety, focus on quality and catch up with progress, has made every effort to build high-quality projects. During the construction of the Project, no safety accident occurred. The quality supervision and inspection data of the construction process were timely reported to the quality supervision station, and all of them were qualified in every previous special inspections and spot checks.
After 29 months, the Nanjing Tianhua Phase II Project completed various construction tasks as per the planning, drawing review contents, design requirements and construction contracts. Relevant inspection departments and units have determined that the Project meets the design standards and acceptance specifications, the construction quality is qualified, and the completion data are complete, and unanimously agree that the project has passed the completion acceptance. At present, the construction project of the steel structure building of the Second Production Plant is applying for Jiangsu Quality Engineering Award—"Yangtze Cup”.
