Shortly before the New Year, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd. held the inauguration ceremony of its Shandong Service Center and promotional event for tandem internal mixer and inner tyre curing press in Shandong, a major rubber and tyre production base. The event attracted over 300 participants from old and new customers, including tyre and rubber tube manufacturers in Shandong. This is a major move of Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group, made as a result of close attention to its priority markets, and deep understanding of the markets and the demand of customers, with an aim to provide better services to big clients. It laid solid foundation for the upgrading of its business model and marketing initiatives in the near future.
In the past, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group had only a small office in Shandong, with a very small team. The quality and efficiency of the services were both low. To make improvements, the Group decided after careful investigation and detailed deployment to enlarge the Shandong Office into a service center, relocated it to Guangrao, where tyre and rubber tube manufacturers concentrated, and staff it with permanent professional salespersons and after-sales service personnel. This is an innovation that extends the traditional business model that focused on manufacturing and sales. The new model enables salespersons to have convenient communication with rubber tyre manufacturers in Shandong, push the Group’s concepts of services to them, follow the sold equipment in use closely, and offer more relevant products and services to customers at their own initiative. The design and sales of machine parts will be custom-made, bringing in more profits in addition to the small existing margin. When a problem occurs, after-sales personnel can be sent immediately to the customer to repair it or do the maintenance work, thus reducing the down time by a significantly large margin. By doing so, our service quality will be substantially improved and smooth operation on the customer side ensured, enhancing customer stickiness. With the service center established, promotional efforts can be carried out near customers, new products may be introduced to customers in a timely manner, and the brand influence will be increased.
According to on-site and hindsight feedback, participating tyre and rubber tube manufacturers were all positive about the event and expressed great interest in and acceptance to the “rubber & plastic machinery 4S store”. Similarly, the new tandem internal mixer and 65-inch hydraulic curing press also attracted much attention from old and new customers. After communication with onsite staff, many visitors showed intention to order these two new products.
According to an official from the Group, based on the experience of the Shandong Service Center, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group will establish similar facilities in other priority provinces, or even other countries.
