On September 8, KraussMaffei and Ringier AG co-hosted the KraussMaffei Technology Innovation Forum for Smart Bathroom. Nearly 100 upstream and downstream enterprises and professionals specializing in the smart bathroom and rubber & plastics industries attended the meeting to discuss the advanced injection molding process, innovative applications and future trends in the smart bathroom field.
As science and technology are being developed by leaps and bounds, people have higher demand for quality of home life. “Smart bathroom” products have been used by a growing number of customers, while food, clothing, housing and transport products are constantly evolving. The forum was themed “KraussMaffei’s ‘Pioneering Technology Power’ in Smart Bathroom Enhances the Quality and Efficiency of Injection Molding Production”. Liu Tao and Xiang Qingming, senior application managers of KraussMaffei, gave excellent speeches on “Silicone Molding and Innovative Application” and “Adaptive Control System”.
KraussMaffei makes a difference in liquid silicone molding. Its PXA all-electric silicone solution, armed with the leading SilcoSet silicone technology, showcases excellent performance in terms of precision, stability, cleanliness and yield rate. The 0.01mm injection accuracy has secured the production of all kinds of silicone products, such as silicone nozzle and tank silicone parts. This is a major outcome of KraussMaffei’s local innovation with its global strengths.
At the forum, KraussMaffei’s one-stop injection molding solution received a lot of attention. The solution has been designed for producing bathroom-related products and accessories such as toilets, tank fittings, faucet outlet panels, and adjustable valves. PXA all-electric injection molding templates for the solution is designed with a classic frame structure to be run on top of a precision linear guide, ensuring parallelism and low energy consumption. Also, the closing process is aimed at high precision and repeatability of the position control to ensure the smooth completion of the evacuation. The non-contact connecting rod, without lubrication, is an ideal option for clean production like sanitary ware. In addition, KraussMaffei’s patented APC plus adaptive process control has been applied in compensating for process fluctuations while taking into account material properties, ensuring consistent injection weights and ultimately a high yield.
Lin Jin, advisor of China Building Decoration Association, Tang Minjun from Shanghai Institute of Quality Supervision and Inspection Technology, and some of KraussMaffei’s materials and mold partners made keynote speeches on the current situation, market development and manufacturing technologies of smart bathroom. Wacker Chemie, Radici Group, Bolle[JJ1] , Regloplas and other partners shared experience in materials, and supportive mold and temperature control technologies of the smart bathroom and home industries.
At the forum, all participants shared and exchanged from various angles, such as the application of smart technology and consumer upgrading in “smart bathroom” products and the demand of smart bathroom market. In the future, KraussMaffei will strengthen the cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises to promote the new development of smart sanitary ware.
