Recently, Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. completed the largest overhaul since it was founded, and resumed production in one go. In this overhaul, Tianhua Institute undertook the regular inspection of its pressure vessels, pressure pipelines and other projects, making a great contribution to the successful completion of the overhaul.
The overhaul project of Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical undertaken by Tianhua Institute this time is a key project to strengthen the synergetic effect of the merger of ChemChina and Sinochem, and has received special attention from leaders at all levels. During the overhaul period, the new round of COVID outbreak in Quanzhou, Lanzhou and Nanjing constituted a tremendous pressure on the overhaul team in terms of manpower allocation and construction progress. The leaders of Tianhua Institute came to the site to conduct comprehensive investigation and understand the project dynamics and progress, requiring the team to take multiple measures to ensure “safe construction and comprehensive prevention” and successful completion of the overhaul task.
The overhaul team overcame the severe epidemic situation, tight construction period, limited construction conditions, and difficulties in life and transportation, introduced new technologies and equipment, dispatched excellent technicians, and completed the inspection and testing tasks of 528 pressure vessels and 3,600 pressure pipelines in Quanzhou Petrochemical’s atmospheric and vacuum distillation units, catalytic cracking units and coking units with high quality and high efficiency within 10 days. During the overhaul, all employees gave up holidays and devoted themselves to satisfying the customer’s urgent needs, and provided strong technical support to Quanzhou Petrochemical’s overhaul, greatly contributing to its safe operation.
